- On the top 10 album list for 2022
(Lasse Marhaug, composer)
An album inspired by phenomena from in and out of a Mojave homestead studio cabin. Here you have to deal with sometimes unexplainable forces, solitude, sun, moon, stars, extreme climate, adventurous trips, hallucinatory creatures and people with peculiar survival strategies and skills.
The album titles are snapshots from a transitional life phase, locked into existentialism. When time itself warped and stretched, while civilizations eroded and nature crumbled. The end of something we thought we knew, the beginning of something... else.
Created with keyboards & electronics, lap steel, microphone and field recordings, plus a few other instruments and devices. The music is mellow, slow, sometimes groovy, with subtle rhythmic figure layers that may not reveal themselves at once. Music to accompany your traveling, moving, reading, writing, or dreaming.
